The 2017 Nuits Saint-Georges Clos des Argillières 1er Cru has an elegant bouquet of fine delineation, very pretty and charming and the most pure of the Prémeaux flight. Lovely. The palate is very well balanced with neatly integrated new oak. Bright and vivid, quite Vosne-like in style, this is a very well-crafted and quite sensual Nuits Saint-Georges. Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2017 tasting.

Minerally layers and some ethereal quality on top of Nuits fruit here. Very suave and appetising. Lots of ripe, complex fruit. Doing all sorts of interesting things. (JR)
