Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2008 Nuits Saint-Georges Clos des Argillières 1er Cru would have been fully de-stemmed at the time with some SO2 still used for the winemaker. It was the start of my career. It was my first difficult vintage. It has a light rustic bouquet with open-knit, quite ferrous red berry fruit that lacks a bit of punch. The palate is medium-bodied with a gritty opening, moderate depth, quite light for a Premier Cru with a leafy, herbaceous finish. Drink soon.
