Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2018 Corton Grand Cru Blanc comes from the lieu-dit of Regnier, a vineyard that Anne Parent’s father replanted with Chardonnay instead of Pinot Noir in 1990. It is matured in 100% new oak without bâtonnage. The bouquet offers yellow flowers, mirabelle and touches of honeysuckle, its mineralité developing with aeration. The palate is well balanced with tangerine, white peach and touches of dried honey. There is fine density here and a pleasing purity toward the finish, which seems to handle the new oak with style. Excellent.
