Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2020 Charmes-Chambartin Grand Cru has a fragrant nose with blueberry and light cassis fruit, a touch of pressed violet surfacing with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, a little oaky on the entry but there is sufficient fruit to support it. Quite intense on the finish with a dash of black pepper, I would give this 4-5 years in bottle.

Cask sample. Deep ruby; rich and deeply raspberry-coulis flavoured, with a velvet consistency. Fresh acidity and a veil of tannins. Great and impressive length. (MH)
