Firm yet nicely integrated tannins provide a backdrop for expressive dark red cherries, plums, cloves and new leather in the domaine's 2012 Nuits St. Georges Les Murgers. Round and voluptuous yet mid-weight in structure, the Murgers impresses for its overall balance. The 2012 finishes with lovely energy and a kick of floral lift that is undeniably attractive.

Medium red. Expressive aromas of redcurrant, dried flowers, iron and tobacco. A bit lower-pitched in the mouth than the Vosne examples, but offers enticing sweetness and subtle earth and saline mineral notes. Finishes with a fine dusting of tannins and very good building length.
