Tasting Notes and Scores
Bright pale yellow. Exotic stone fruits, wild herbs and smoky caramel oak on the nose. Opulent and sweet verging on heavy, with thick flavors of apricot and peach flesh but little apparent mineral support. Finishes a bit warm and edgy. This was 13% potential alcohol chaptalized to 13.4%.

Vinous
The 2015 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Maltroie was quite stubborn on the nose, rather introverted with touches of damp undergrowth and yellow flower. The palate is fresh on the nose with good acidity, although it seems to attenuate afterwards and needs to show more substance and density on the finish. Hopefully it will put on more weight with bottle age, but it does not offer the same complexity as the Les Vergers or Chaumées.
