(from soil rich in calcaire ): Bright red-ruby. Captivating floral lift to the aromas and flavors of raspberry, cherry and crushed stone. Silky and fine-grained, but with pungent harmonious minerality giving definition and lift to the middle palate. Nicely integrated acidity extends the fresh finish. This penetrating, sappy wine really perfumes the mouth.

Cask sample. Bright crimson. Heady nose then lively, savoury palate. Round and polished. Very ripe! Quite dry on the end. Sings a bit. Lots of work on the tannins here. Very vibrant finish. (JR)
