The 2023 Meursault Genevrières 1er Cru has a wonderfully detailed bouquet with crushed stone filtering through the citrus fruit. The palate is very classy with a superb thread of acidity yet retains a sense of control, as if saving something for later. This is judiciously spiced, and its pithy finish has greater complexity than the preceding Charmes-Dessus. On par with last year's excellent release.
