Tasting Notes and Scores
Bright, dark red. Slightly reduced aromas of cherry, iron, red licorice and dried flowers. Sappy and sweet on the palate, and much easier to taste today than the Vosne-Romanée Les Chaumes despite its solid underlying structure. Finishes savory and lightly saline, with noteworthy subtle length.

Here too there is a hint of herbal tea to the primarily red currant aromas that are cut with plenty of earth and soft floral nuances. There is excellent volume and power to the rich, muscular and vibrant medium weight flavors that possess an abundance of dry extract that imparts an equally seductive mouth feel to the ever-so-mildly rustic and linear finish. This is a classic Nuits that should age well over the medium to longer-term.
