At once rich and immediate yet also totally weightless, the Reignots captures the contrasts that make Burgundy so compelling. Bright saline notes support the vivid, striking finish. In 2011, the Reignots is simply dazzling.

Deep ruby-red. Dark, slightly reduced aromas of black cherry, gunpowder and black olive tapenade. Denser, more medicinal and less giving today than the Petits Monts, with tight dark fruit flavors complicated by saline minerality and subtle soil tones. Spreads out horizontally on the unflagging back end, which shows a distinctly saline tactile quality and terrific grip.
