Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2017 Corton-Renardes Grand Cru feels modern in style and a little oaky, with a mocha-like note on the nose, although there is sufficient fruit behind the oak, and it should be subsumed with time in bottle. The fleshy palate is medium-bodied with sweet tannins and black cherry and sous-bois notes. Very sleek, but the winemaking impedes too much and occludes the terroir.
