Aromas of citrus zest, crisp yellow orchard fruit, freshly baked bread, beeswax, white flowers and toasted nuts introduce the 2020 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Clos de la Chatenière, a medium to full-bodied, layered and concentrated wine that's seamless and structured, concluding with a long, mineral finish. This cuvée is a particular success this year.

The 2020 Saint-Aubin Clos de la Chatenière 1er Cru comes from steep limestone slopes and shows quite a bit of Coche reduction at the moment. But one can tell there is real tension and concentration here. The palate is tensile on the entry, freshly-sliced lime and tangy orange pith, fanning out with a sense of brio towards the finish. This is another classy offering from Olivier Lamy this vintage.
