Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2020 Vosne-Romanée Les Chaumes 1er Cru offers maraschino cherries, orange blossom and light rose petal notes on the nose. Just a little smudged compared to Lamarche's other cuvées. The palate is very smooth with fine boned tannins, just a touch of spice that develops on the finish that is a little more austere at the moment, but it will flesh out with bottle age. Give it 2-3 years.

Cask sample. Pale crimson. Really flattering and raspberry-fruited. A complete charmer but far from classic. It's definitely more seductive than most Vosnes but should appeal very much to some palates. (JR)
