Notes of pear, peach, white flowers and buttery pastry introduce the 2021 Beaune 1er Cru Clos des Aigrots Blanc, a medium-bodied, taut and racy wine, of which only one barrel was produced.

There is one barrel of the 2021 Beaune Clos des Aigrots 1er Cru Blanc this year whereas usually there are five. It has an attractive, well-defined bouquet with dried honey, grilled walnut and light fumé scents. The palate is well balanced with fine depth and more complexity than Lafarge's Meursault with a judicious touch of spice on the finish. Worth seeking out.
