The 2021 Santenay Vieilles Vignes contains 50% whole bunches, actually less than usual, and offers brambly red fruit and briary on the nose, with a touch of sous-bois . The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy tannins, a fine acidic spine and a healthy dash of black pepper. The 2021 has a precise and quite persistent finish. This has so much personality already - wonderful!
