Tasting Notes and Scores
One of the highlights of the range, the 2019 Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru (Domaine Louis Jadot) mingles aromas of sweet red berries with hints of raw cocoa, spices, licorice, loamy soil and truffles. Medium to full-bodied, deep and multidimensional, it's velvety and concentrated, with considerable depth and mid-palate amplitude despite its elegant, seamless profile.

The 2019 Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru has a perfumed bouquet of raspberry coulis, wild strawberry and crushed limestone aromas and a little singed leather in the background; there is fine complexity and focus here. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins, soy-tinged red fruit and a slightly conservative, restrained finish. More cohesive than the Charmes-Chambertin, it doesn’t quite convey the complexity of the Clos-de-Bèze, yet it should still age with style.
