The 2020 Puligny-Montrachet Les Pucelles 1er Cru has a flamboyant bouquet, upfront and generous, though it lacks mineralité and nuance. This is quite minty. Powerful and concentrated with a honeyed core of fruit, the 2020 may have slightly lower acidity. It displays real weight and heft, but maybe it's not as nuanced, and it's just a little austere on the finish. Moderate length. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.
