The 2022 Vosne-Romanée Village has an elegant bouquet unfolding in the glass, leaning more towards red fruit, though it is not the most complex I feel Grivot has ever produced. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, taut and fresh, just a twist of sour cherry and tobacco towards the finish. Drink over the next decade.

Cask sample. Alluring perfume of wild rose, hint of jasmine. Dark-berry fruit, crisp tannin and bright acidity on the finish. Plenty of structure and concentration for further ageing. (AWH)
