Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2018 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Chaignots 1er Cru is de-stemmed this year. It has a pretty, fragrant bouquet of raspberry and wild strawberry fruit, plus touches of rose petal and iris flower. The medium-bodied palate offers supple tannins and a fine line of acidity, the 20% new oak nearly integrated. It does feel a little conservative on the finish, but there is certainly elegance here.
