The 2017 Vosne-Romanée Les Petits Monts 1er Cru has a lovely, very well-defined bouquet of ebullient red cherries, crushed strawberry and rose petal aromas. The palate is medium-bodied and quite savory, with lithe tannins, well-judged acidity and hints of dried blood and spicebox toward the finish, which lingers nicely. Excellent. Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2017 tasting.

The 2017 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Petits Monts displays a beautiful bouquet of sweet wild berries, candied peel and violets, complemented by deeper bass notes of raw cocoa and rich soil tones. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, pure and layered, with satiny tannins, a bright line of animating acidity and a long, vibrant finish.
