Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2023 Meursault Les Chevalières (not Premier Cru as I mistakenly wrote last year!) has a very cohesive bouquet with light white flower and waxy aromas. It's more mineral-driven than the Meursault Village. The palate is beautifully balanced with a fine bead of acidity. It's fresh and saline with a touch of spice on the finish. So composed, this might be even better than the impressive 2022. It is outstanding.

Vinous
The 2023 Meursault Les Chevalières wafts from the glass with notes of buttery citrus fruit, white flowers, green apple and hazelnuts, followed by a medium to full-bodied, satiny and saline palate that's bright and mineral. The racy style of this site works well with the inherent generosity of the vintage.

Cask sample. Like the regular village Meursault, this has more power than subtlety but the balance is better here, with ripe citrus fruit filling out the palate. More flavour than finesse. (JH)

20 ares. Cask sample. Mid lemon. Apple and peach on the nose. Medium body, modest fresh acidity. Dry finish. Tidy village Meursault. (MH)
