South of the village, planted in 1928 just below Mazoyères towards Morey, and a vineyard from his mother. Planted at 12,000 vines/ha. Tank sample. Mid purplish crimson. Less expressive on the nose than the Gevrey Vieille Vigne but very fine and chiselled. Rather mineral and sinewy. Still pretty chewy. Sappy. (JR)
