Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2022 Aloxe-Corton Les Vercots 1er Cru, the parcel that kicked off the harvest and contains just a bit more new oak, shows a little more reduction than the Clos du Chapitre, but there is slightly more complexity and refinement here. The palate is smooth and silky on the entry, with finely-tuned tannins. It has an almost pastille-like quality, with blood orange infusing the red fruit towards the finish. This fans out with breezy confidence. It's worth looking out for.
