Tasting Notes and Scores
Like the Les Lys, the nose is dominated by airy and cool floral and white fruit elements that display top notes of citrus and iodine. The medium-bodied flavors are a combination of power and refinement as they too coat the mouth while delivering an abundance of minerality on the impeccably well-balanced finale. Drink 2020+.

(Fèvre buys grapes and must): Pale yellow with a green tinge. Rather exotic aromas of ripe peach and lichee. Fat and glyceral in the mouth, in a distinctly tender style and less minerally than most of the other 2014 premier crus here. Very concentrated but this broad, lower-acid wine may be best suited for those who find most Chablis too bracing.

The 2014 Chablis 1er Cru Fourchaume is located in Vaulorent, eight parcels that are selected for two different bottlings, the other labeled "Vaulorent" (see separate note). The nose is backward and sultry, clearly not wishing to come out and play like the other Premier Crus. The palate is fresh and mineral on the entry with just a touch of bitter lemon. It is nicely balanced, perhaps not quite as long as the Chablis Vaulorent, but lingers nicely in the mouth.
