Tasting Notes and Scores

93.5 AG

The 2009 Chambertin offers up red berries, roses, licorice and mint in a subtle, nuanced style. This shows remarkable nobility and class in a slightly understated personality. Dugat used 100% whole clusters for the Chambertin. Sadly, there is just one lone barrel to go around.

93.5 ST

Red-ruby. Much more delicate and subtle on the nose than the Mazis, hinting at dark fruits, violet, bitter chocolate, rose, violet, menthol and mint. Sweet and fleshy on entry, then locked up tight in the middle. Much less sweet on the back end, finishing with substantial granular tannins and considerable power. This is a bit of cipher today and clearly will require long aging. Both this and the Mazis were vinified entirely with whole clusters.
