The 2021 Puligny-Montrachet Les Combettes 1er Cru has a forward slightly evolved honeycomb and nougat bouquet that you might misconstrue as a 10-year-old wine. The palate is ripe with what feels like honeyed and botrytised notes, actually reminiscent of a Levroutée Viré-Clessé! It flummoxed an entire room of seasoned palates. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.
