Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2021 Mazoyères Chambertin Grand Cru contains 60% new oak and whole bunch. Backward on the nose, this demands coaxing, revealing brambly red fruit, pine and sous-bois scents. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-boned tannins, very nicely proportioned, white pepper liberally sprinkled over the finish with impressive persistence. Excellent.
