Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin En Combe comes from a parcel in the middle of the village that has been bottled for the first time. With 15% whole bunches, it has a smear of dark chocolate on the nose that slightly obscures the terroir expression at the moment. The palate is medium-bodied with a sweet entry, but the 30% new oak just feels a bit excessive on the finish.
