The 2023 Gevrey-Chambertin Village has a light earthy bouquet that would benefit from a little more fruit concentration. The palate is medium-bodied with sour cherry on the entry, light tannins and quite a dry finish. Early-drinking.

Cask sample. Mid-pale ruby. Sweet red and dark fruits, redcurrant and raspberry on the nose and palate, and quite rich. Much more elegant and soft on the finish than the Morey. Tannins quite powdered. (MH)
