Tasting Notes and Scores
Remy’s 0.22-hectares of vine lie adjacent to Lalou Bize-Leroy’s and Château de Marsannay’s. Due to millerandage there is only 1½ barrels this year instead of the usual two. The 2013 Chambertin Grand Cru has a fresh strawberry, orange zest and citrus-fresh nose that is packed full of energy. The palate is medium-bodied with tensile tannins, a silver thread of acidity that is interwoven through the mineral-rich red berry fruit. Lovely focus and precision here, this is a superb and very expressive Chambertin from the domaine.
