Tasting Notes and Scores
(Colin has just two 228-liter barrels of this juice, one new and one once-used, but the yield was around 45 hectoliters per hectare from these old vines, higher than in 2015): Pale, bright yellow. Brilliantly pure aromas of lemon, mandarin orange, menthol and crushed rock complemented by spicy oak. Dense, spicy and dry, conveying lovely citrus fruit energy but in need of more élevage . A very fresh Genevrières with a long, saline finish. Colin noted that he picked all of his Meursaults on the first day of the harvest in 2017. That was certainly the right decision here.
