Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2021 Vosne-Romanée Village has a bit more gumption on the nose compared to the Gevrey-Chambertin with lifted red berry fruit and touches of black tea. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit, fine-boned with a citrus-freshness, hints of marmalade towards the finish. Fine.

Cask sample. Mid crimson. Less open and expressive than the Chambolle but it opens up to pure, dark-red fruit with a delicate hint of spice. More dark-fruited on the palate, really elegant tannin texture with a firmer grip at the very end. Needs a little more time than some. (JH)
