The 2016 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru has a glorious bouquet with joyful maraschino cherry, wild strawberry and raspberry preserve aromas that are seamlessly enmeshed with the oak. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin. The acidity is beautifully judged and there is harmony and tension all the way through the persistent finish. Kirsch on the aftertaste. What an outstanding Vosne-Romanée. Tasted blind at the 2016 Burgfest tasting.
