Tasting Notes and Scores
An exuberantly spicy nose features very fresh floral, raspberry and black cherry aromas that give way to delicate, minerally and beautifully detailed medium-bodied flavors that are not especially concentrated but the important element of balance is present. A wine of elegance and finesse. Drink: 2016+.

(from 11-year-old vines) Good full red. Expressive aromas of cherry, raspberry and smoky minerality. Supple, sweet and very ripe; an easygoing fruit bomb with a chocolatey quality. Finishes with substantial tannins and a slightly aggressive character.

The first Sylvain Cathiard wine on the upward scale that starts to show seriousness. Real sinew and structure here even though the vines are only 11 years old. Easy, fresh with flavours of glacé cherries. Denser than the village Vosne but with a light, flirtatious finish. (JR)
