The 2022 Volnay Les Caillerets 1er Cru is another vineyard alongside Les Angles that suffers some degeneration. It offers dark berry fruit, sous-bois and light tobacco scents on the nose, veering towards Pommard in style. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly dry tannins. This cuvée has some greenness on the finish that Clément confirmed was caused by some blocked maturity in the vines.
