Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2020 Volnay Les Caillerets 1er Cru has the finest of Boillot’s nose from the appellation with well-defined, very pure and quite mineral-driven red fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with quite firm tannins, a little sharp with a slight underlying bitter note at the end at the moment. I found this a bit difficult to assess on the palate so I will reserve judgement for now.
