Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2017 Gevrey-Chambertin Village, a blend of eight parcels, has a slightly lean bouquet at first, although it gains a little weight with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with a pretty, tart entry. There is a fine bead of acidity here, and some abruptness right on the finish. That might well fill out during the remaining barrel maturation.

Bright red-cherry fruit. Nicely balanced, pure, low-key fruit. Very fresh – almost jagged – quality to the fruit but a good result. Slightly dry on the end but very correct and satisfying. Lip-smacking even. (JR)
