Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2022 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Cherbaudes 1er Cru had low yields of around 27hL/ha due to hail, though it was not as bad as in Evocelles. Black cherries, forest floor and light Earl Grey scents unfurl almost reluctantly on the nose. The palate has a candied quality, quite sweet at its core with touches of fig and quince. The finish is missing the complexity and nuance of the best cuvées this year.
