Tasting Notes and Scores

The 2023 Vosne-Romanée Village contains around 40% whole bunches. This feels quite fresh on the nose. There is fine mineralité , and the stems are better subsumed than the Nuits Saint-Georges. The palate is medium-bodied and cohesive with sappy red fruit, fine acidity and good body on the finish. This is one of the picks from Leroux.

40% whole bunch, 10% new oak. From Les Jacquines, Aux Genaivrières, Village and Maizières Basses. Cask sample. Mid ruby. Mid weight with fine, elegant tannins. Plenty of perfume over a moderate structure. Sapid and tasty. (MH)
