The 2023 Vosne-Romanée Au-Dessus des Malconsorts 1er Cru has a fragrant nose with red cherries, wild heather and iris flower scents—complex and already quite alluring. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins on the entry, gentle grip and touches of white pepper and sage. There is wonderful delineation on the finish. Excellent.

80% whole bunch. One barrel (one wine). Cask sample. Mid ruby. Sweet red cherries and raspberries on the nose and palate. Balanced and restrained. A touch of spice to the perfume with length and persistence. (MH)
