Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2019 Nuits Saint-Georges Aux Thorey 1er Cru has a detailed bouquet of tertiary red berry fruit that just needs a little more intensity. The palate is medium-bodied with chalky tannins. Quite a masculine NSG, leading to a slightly hard finish. Racking will soften this up and my score is based on that being carried out.

Notes of plums, sweet berries, raw cocoa and grilled squab, framed by a touch of youthful reduction, introduce the 2019 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Aux Thorey, a medium to full-bodied, ample and lively wine that's sapid and savory. This will demand a little patience but may make my rating seem conservative.
