Tasting Notes and Scores
Clay soils; three-barrel production; cask sample. Mid ruby; quite substantial with a ferrous, compact core layered with sweet, opulent fruit. Gracious, but very gourmand (moreish). (MH)

The 2020 Nuits Saint-Georges les Boudots 1er Cru was one of the few reds that had not been racked. Including two-thirds whole bunch, it has a stemmy, Dujac-like bouquet with a mixture of red and black fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with a lot of steaminess here and it just obscures the terroir on the finish. Racking will help this, so I will not score this for now.
