The 2023 Meursault Les Charmes-Dessus 1er Cru has an airy, stony nose with touches of petrichor…I'd like a little more fruit. The palate is more expressive with chamomile-tinged citrus fruit, a fine thread of acidity and a tingle of stem ginger that enhances the finish. There is fine cohesion here. This Meursault should age well in bottle.

Domaine-owned vines. Cask sample. Mid lemon. Apple, lemon and peach on the nose. Medium- to full-bodied palate with ripe fruit and quite opulent texture. It is, however, toned by fresh acidity and a lean, mineral streak. (MH)
