The 2020 Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru might possess even more precision on the nose than the Chambertin, very poised and focused with vivid red fruit, the two-thirds whole bunch neatly assimilated. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-bone tannins, taut and crisp, very harmonious and almost Rousseau-like on the finish. This is singin’ which augurs well for how it will show in bottle.
