Tasting Notes and Scores
There are two barrels of the 2019 Griotte-Chambertin Grand Cru, one new. The very focused bouquet of morello cherry, cassis and violet aromas is very Griotte. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, very good weight, hints of brown spice and even a touch of soy toward the harmonious finish. Great length and energy. A superb Griotte-Chambertin.

Their tenth harvest of this rare wine. 50% new oak, racked. Mainly sold to private Hong Kong clients but Leroux sees it appearing at auction everywhere! Barrel sample. Bright transparent crimson. Intensely fruity and seductive. Really quite gorgeous. Slightly dry finish at the moment but there is great potential. (JR)
