Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2023 Chambertin Grand Cru contains 80% whole bunch. Those stems are neatly integrated on the nose. It is quite complex, with mainly black fruit, sous-bois and light limestone scents. The palate is medium-bodied with austere tannins, the stems dominating the finish and rendering it a bit hard at the moment.

80% whole bunch. Three barrels, one new (but seasoned with one white fermentation). Cask sample. Mid-pale ruby. Refined nose of flowers and light red fruits: red cherry, strawberry and redcurrant. Very much searching for the essence of fruit, this is subtle, almost a little too subtle. Very long. Fine, elegant and quite recherché. There is some firm structure underneath ensuring ageability.
