Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2017 Chambolle-Musigny Les Chabiots 1er Cru has a wonderful, expressive red cherry and crushed strawberry nose with beguiling floral aromas. The medium-bodied palate offers supple tannin, finely pitched acidity and a long, poised, silky-smooth finish. A great Chambolle from winemaker Alain Serveau.

Great nose of raspberries with just a whiff of caramel and toasty oak. A graceful wine that wraps itself gently around you and caresses you. Long finish with delicate sweetness, which makes it drinkable on release.

Aromas of raspberries, cherries, coffee roast and toasty new oak introduce the 2017 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Chabiots, a medium-bodied, open-knit wine that's framed by lightly chewy tannins, adapted to near-term consumption.

30% whole-bunch fermented. Aged in oak barrels (35% new) for 16 months. Cask sample. Dainty, delicate style of fruit with pushy oak spice, but nicely balanced flavours on the finish. Succulent and easy to enjoy, with all the tannin and acid in harmony. A good example of Chambolle’s gentleness. (RH)
