Tasting Notes and Scores
High-pitched aromas of licorice pastille, mint and pepper. Dry and uncompromising, with dominant flavors of licorice and minerals. Slightly high-toned but not at all a sweet style. Broad on the back end, with a firm tannic spine. This has not yet recovered from having been racked. (Unfortunately, my samples of Vosne-Romanee Les Suchots, Gevrey-Chambertin Cazetiers, Chambertin-Clos de Beze and Chambertin were a bit old and oxidative.
