The 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin Lavaut Saint-Jacques 1er Cru, like the Cazetiers is reduced to one single (used) barrel. The bouquet is airy and perfumed, beautifully defined with seamlessly integrated wood. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins, sensual and harmonious with a poised, sorbet-fresh, quite mineral-driven finish. A magnificent 2021 from Amélie Berthaut.

There's only one barrel of the 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Lavaux Saint-Jacques, a medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy wine evocative of plums and orange zest framed by a touch of toasty oak. Built around a bright spine of acidity, it concludes with a precise, saline finish.
