Tasting Notes and Scores
Reduction and wood dominate the nose. There is first-rate mid-palate concentration to the utterly delicious middle weight plus flavors that exude a fine bead of minerality on the wonderfully textured, long and ever-so-slightly austere finale. This notably classy effort will also require at least a few years of bottle age to more completely harmonize and develop more overall depth. Worth checking out.

Allen Meadows
Nicely ripe aromas of yellow peach, fresh apricot, butter and high-pitched brown spices. Concentrated and fleshy but still tightly wound, even a bit hard-edged. Best today on its slowly mounting whiplash of a finish, which perfumes the mouth with spices. This wine should expand and gain in pliancy with three or four years of cellaring.
